Day of Trumpets — The Sound Has Come

Beloved Greater One Church,

Today is the Day of the Blowing of Trumpets.

The first day of the seventh month has arrived. The appointed time is no longer ahead of us — it is here.

In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Leviticus 23:24 · KJV

This is a holy day. Treat it as such. Cease from ordinary labor. Gather your heart. Give the Lord your full attention.

The trumpet is sounding over us today with seven clear words:

Wake up.

The season has changed. Sacred time has begun.

Gather.

The Lord is calling His people together — not only in body, but in heart and obedience.

The King is near.

“God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet” (Psalm 47:5).

Prepare.

This blast stands at the door of atonement and of dwelling with Him.

Stand.

The trumpet is also a battle cry. The Lord remembers those who sound the alarm in His name (Numbers 10:9).

Look up.

Every earthly blast points to the last trumpet, when the dead shall be raised and we shall be changed (1 Corinthians 15:52; 1 Thessalonians 4:16).

Worship.

The same sound that warns is also the sound of praise (Psalm 150:3).

Beloved, do not let this day pass as common. Let the memorial of the trumpet do its work in you. Let it awaken what has been sleeping. Let it gather what has been scattered. Let it crown the Lord as King in your house and in this church.

This day also opens the rest of the seventh month. Keep your eyes forward:

September 7/8 — the tenth day: a Sabbath of rest in remembrance of the permanent atonement by the blood of Christ

September 13–20 — the Feast of Tabernacles, the Ingathering, and the Feast of the Lord

Today the trumpet sounds. Next comes cleansing. Then comes dwelling. Walk the whole path.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

May this Day of Trumpets find The Greater One Church awake, assembled, and ready.

May the Lord be crowned in our midst.

And may He give peace in this place.

The trumpet is sounding.
